The Adventure Film Festival is the biggest adventure film festival in the world in terms of its duration, locations and attendees. It is the only multiple location, fully digital film festival in the UK.
In it’s third year, the 2008 Adventure Film Festival showcased the UK Premieres of 5 documentary films, all of which have since gone on to mainstream theatrical release, or have been shown on television.

frank tv

At the culmination of Orange mobile’s exclusive two year contract with the Chelsea and England footballer Frank Lampard, Black Diamond conceived and produced a unique one off programme telling Frank’s story in ‘bite size’ chunks for the new media mobile download consumer.

The half hour special used exclusive footage shot by Frank himself giving viewers unique access to his home life and also behind the scenes at Chelsea. It also features specially shot Black Diamond interview contributions by Frank himself, his cousin Jamie Redknapp, his friend the Wasps and ex-England rugby union captain Lawrence Dallaglio, the Radio 1 DJ Carrie Davies, several senior sports journalists and his father Frank Snr.

The film had a high profile press and television news launch in London’s Soho and went onto win a prestigious MEFFY Award in Cannes as Best Marketing Film.

warren miller ski film tour

The annual UK Warren Miller ski and snowboard film tour is unique in the winter sports and entertainment world. It attracts a cult-like following in over 50 locations across the UK, and marks the unofficial start of the winter season for many sports enthusiasts. Excluding the London Ski Show, the 2008 Warren Miller film tour had the widest geographical reach and the largest audience of any winter sport event in the UK.

NatWest MoneySense

Demonstrating an ability to work on non sports related productions, Black Diamond was commissioned by NatWest to conceive and produce a series of short vod casts starring the actress Angela Griffin ( Coronation Street, Holby City, Emmerdale, Waterloo Road ) which helped to advise their customers on the best ways to manage their personal finances. The vod casts were shown on the NatWest website and also at NatWest organised finance advisory centres across the UK.

Black Diamond has project managed stand design and build for 17 years in the UK and Europe and prides itself on producing a stand that is cost effective but never compromising attention to detail and creativity.

Black Diamond has 18 years of rights management and film distribution experience. Initially distributing videos and subsequently dvds to traditional retail outlets as well as 700 specialist sports shops. With over 1000 film titles distributed Black Diamond has a very extensive knowledge in this field.
In 2008 Technicolour forged a partnership with Black Diamond to showcase their download encoding, ingesting and management of content. Black Diamond were the first in the market for this new delivery method and this was also adopted by Nissan to premiere the technology on their website.

Black Diamond has over 10 years of experience in the cd / cd-rom / dvd and usb promotional market. Working with brands such as BT Click and Black and Decker for mass market direct mail campaigns and all the national newspapers and publishing houses for cover mounts and redemptions.
